Earth Month at Living Water Resorts: A Season of Growth, Renewal, and Purpose

Every April, the world pauses to celebrate Earth Day. Here at Living Water Resorts, we use the whole month as a moment of reflection, and a reason to share what's been quietly growing right here on our 700-acre property along Georgian Bay.

A Greener Season Begins in Collingwood

As spring arrives along Georgian Bay, Earth Month offers a moment to reflect on something that defines every stay at Living Water Resorts: sustainability in action.

Here, it’s not a seasonal campaign. It’s how we operate every day.

From the way we grow our food to how we power our spaces, each detail is designed with intention. And as the landscape begins to bloom again, so does the next chapter of our sustainability journey.

From Greenhouse to Table: A Look Back at Last Year’s Harvest

Last year, our greenhouse delivered an incredible bounty, from vibrant greens and herbs to fresh vegetables used across our culinary experiences.

This closed-loop approach is part of our commitment to full-circle farming:

  • Kitchen scraps are composted

  • Compost nourishes our greenhouse soil

  • Fresh ingredients return to your plate

It is a simple cycle, thoughtfully executed, and one that connects every guest to the land in a meaningful way.

As we step into the 2026 growing season, we are excited to see what this year’s harvest will bring.

Sustainability in Every Stay

Our approach to sustainability is not defined by one initiative, but by many small, consistent actions working together:

  • Renewable Energy: Solar panels help power guest stays

  • Local Sourcing: Ingredients sourced from nearby farms and partners

  • Thoughtful Amenities: Biodegradable and eco-conscious materials

  • Spa with Purpose: Treatments that contribute to environmental restoration

Even beyond our property, our team continues to take action. This season, our resort operations team came together to organize a local garbage clean-up, helping preserve the natural beauty of the Collingwood shoreline.

Because caring for this place extends beyond our doors.

Taste the Season with Springlicious

Spring also marks the return of Springlicious, a celebration of fresh, locally sourced flavours.

Menus are inspired by what is in season, including ingredients grown close to home and, when possible, right here at the resort. The result is a dining experience that feels both elevated and deeply connected to the region.

It is a chance to taste spring at its freshest.

A Softer Way to Travel This Spring

With longer days and quieter moments between seasons, spring is one of the best times to experience Collingwood at a different pace.

Midweek stays offer:

  • More space to unwind

  • A calmer, more restorative atmosphere

  • Easy access to spa, dining, and nature

Whether it is a wellness escape, a scenic retreat, or simply time to reset, spring invites you to slow down and reconnect.
